Role Summary
The Manager of Enrollment & Graduate Success is responsible for managing the entire participant lifecycle, from recruiting and selecting high-potential candidates (Enrollment) to ensuring their successful transition into the workforce (Graduate Success). This role is data-driven, leveraging robust Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems to continuously optimize both the admissions process and career placement strategies, thereby demonstrating the program's value and achieving key performance targets (like the 84% employment rate).
Key Responsibilities
The role is split into three core, interdependent areas:
1. Strategic Enrollment Management (Admissions)
This focuses on managing the pipeline and selecting the best candidates who are most likely to succeed in the program and placement.
- Targeted Recruitment: Develop and execute an annual enrollment strategy to recruit a diverse and high-quality pool of women, ensuring enrollment targets and demographic goals are met for each cohort.
- Data-Driven Selection: Design, manage, and execute the candidate selection process (applications, technical assessments, interviews). Use M&E data on past graduate success metrics to refine and optimize admissions criteria.
- Candidate Nurturing: Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, clearly articulating the program's value, outcomes (using placement data), and expectations to ensure a high yield (application-to-enrollment rate).
- Compliance: Maintain accurate enrollment records and manage the application database (CRM/SIS), ensuring data integrity for M&E purposes.
2. Graduate Success & Employer Relations (Placement)
This focuses on achieving high employment rates and building strong industry partnerships.
Employer Partnership Development: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key employers in the tech sector (e.g., IREMBO, Andela) to secure exclusive job and internship opportunities for graduates.
Career Readiness Program: Design and oversee the delivery of career services, including resume/portfolio workshops, interview preparation, and professional networking events.
Candidate Matching: Act as the primary liaison between employers and graduates, facilitating introductions, interviews, and placements that align with employer needs and graduate skills.
Goal Achievement: Lead the department's efforts to meet and exceed key placement goals, such as the 84% graduate employment rate, and track metrics like time-to-hire.
3. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) & Institutional Learning
This ensures continuous program improvement by rigorously measuring outcomes and feeding data back into the process.
- Outcomes Tracking: Design and conduct Tracer Studies (surveys) for graduates at 3, 6, and 12 months post-program to accurately track employment status, starting salary, job relevance, and career satisfaction.
- KPI Reporting: Develop, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the entire student lifecycle to program leadership, funders, and partners. (See KPIs below).
- Feedback Loop Management: Analyze employer feedback and M&E data to identify skills gaps in the curriculum and recommend program adjustments to the Academic/Curriculum team.
- Data Integrity & Systems: Oversee the collection, analysis, and secure storage of all admissions, student progress, and placement data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
