Last updated: August 3, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SheCanCODE website, programs, and services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by SheCanCODE, a program of Igire Rwanda Organization ("SheCanCODE", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing our website, applying to a program, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services.
Our programs are designed to empower women and girls to pursue careers in technology. To apply for or enroll in a program, you must meet the eligibility criteria published for that specific program and provide accurate, complete, and current information during the application process.
If you are under the age of 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use our Services and to enroll in any program.
Submitting an application does not guarantee admission. Admission decisions are made at our sole discretion based on program capacity, eligibility, and selection criteria.
You agree that all information you submit in connection with an application or enrollment is truthful and accurate. Providing false information may result in the rejection of your application or dismissal from a program.
Some programs may be offered free of charge, while others may require a fee. Applicable fees, payment schedules, and any scholarship or funding terms will be communicated to you before enrollment.
Refund eligibility, if any, will be governed by the specific refund policy provided for the program at the time of enrollment. Unless otherwise stated in writing, fees are non-refundable once a program has commenced.
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. When using our Services, you agree not to engage in harassment, discrimination, plagiarism, cheating, or any behavior that disrupts the learning experience of others.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services or dismiss you from a program if you violate this Code of Conduct or these Terms.
All content provided through our Services — including curriculum, course materials, text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of SheCanCODE or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use program materials solely for your own personal, educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written permission.
You may submit projects, code, assignments, or other content as part of a program ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content.
By submitting Your Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for educational, evaluation, and promotional purposes related to our mission, unless you notify us otherwise in writing.
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or tools that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these third-party services, and your use of them is at your own risk.
Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive to help our graduates launch tech careers, we do not guarantee employment, income, or any specific outcome from participation in our programs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SheCanCODE and Igire Rwanda Organization shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services or participation in any program.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, our staff, or our mission.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rwanda.
