SheCanCODE Bootcamp
SheCanCODE Bootcamp is one of Igire Rwanda Organization’s key programs, designed to prepare young women for impactful careers in technology. This intensive 16-week program provides hands-on software development training, focusing on equipping learners with both technical and professional skills to thrive in competitive work environments.
The curriculum is structured to deliver a strong foundation in coding fundamentals and offers specialized tracks in backend development, frontend development, and DevOps. Participants benefit from the guidance of seasoned software engineering professionals, gaining both practical expertise and industry insights.
In addition to technical training, SheCanCODE emphasizes professional growth, providing comprehensive support in communication, problem-solving, and career readiness. The program also includes a dedicated career team that helps graduates secure job opportunities within Rwanda and beyond, ensuring they are fully equipped for long-term success.
We are currently seeking a passionate Senior Frontend Facilitator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise in frontend development and a commitment to teaching and curriculum development, helping us continue our mission to empower young women through technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development & Training:
- Design and implement comprehensive training curricula aligned with current industry standards.
- Facilitate engaging, hands-on training sessions for learners.
- Develop and administer programming assessments for training modules.
- Create and update training materials for both in-person and online classes.
- Provide individualized support to learners and foster a positive learning environment.
- Collect and analyze learner feedback to improve training programs.
- Software Development:
- Contribute to the development of internal software systems for IGIRE Rwanda Organization.
- Collaborate on software projects for IGIRE Rwanda's partners and stakeholders.
- Mentorship & Team Development:
- Train and empower junior facilitators to enhance their technical and soft skills.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to ensure a collaborative team environment.
- Graduate Career Readiness:
- Develop curricula to prepare learners for seamless entry into the job market.
- Oversee soft skills development workshops and practices for career readiness.
- Diversity & Inclusion:
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive learning atmosphere for learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Foster equitable access and opportunities within training programs.
- Administrative & Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports on training outcomes and program effectiveness for the academic manager and executive teams.
- Maintain accurate records of learners’ performance and attendance.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Research and implement suitable technologies and learning resources.
- Collaborate with team members to improve technology infrastructure.
- Participate in creating educational videos and delivering impactful lectures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Frontend Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React and Next.js, or Vue.js.
- Full-Stack Development: Experience working on full-stack applications using Node.js and JavaScript frameworks, especially Next.js.
- Version Control: Extensive experience with Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for collaboration and version management.
- DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), and deployment strategies.
- UI/UX Design: Competence in using design tools like Figma to translate concepts into wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.
- Project Management: Experience with tools like Jira, Asana, or Trello to manage tasks, track progress, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Curriculum Development: Ability to create and update comprehensive training materials that align with industry standards.
- Team Collaboration: Experience mentoring and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including junior developers and designers.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for delivering training and preparing documentation.
- Diverse Tech Stack: Familiarity with modern software tools and technologies that support high-quality project development and learner success.
- Passion for Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in technology and education.
